Proxy Voting For Us Senators
House passes unprecedented measure allowing members to cast floor votes remotely for the first time in history. The unprecedented - and controversial - plan allows members over the next 45 days to designate another member as their proxy with strict written instructions on each vote they would cast for the absent lawmaker. I think this is a decent idea, as long as it's all in writing. That way you can do exactly as the writing says. I can see why some people don't like the idea, but things have to change with what is happening. I also would push further and maybe just do video chats with everyone and get votes? Not sure how that will work with 100 senators.

I fear so much what technology can do and not do. Someone could be dead and we think they're still alive and voting! Imagine the implications of that.
