I don't see how these will let up when there are so many race based issues still current. Black Americans are tired of being treated like second rate citizens.

George Floyd's family sues Minneapolis, police officers involved in his death. Civil rights attorney Ben Crump announced Wednesday that the family of George Floyd, who died after a Minneapolis police officer kneeled on his neck for nearly nine minutes, is filing a civil lawsuit against the city and the four police officers involved for Floyd's "Wrongful death." "This is an unprecedented case and with this lawsuit we seek to set a precedence to make it financially prohibitive so police won't ... Kill marginalized people, especially Black people, in the future," Crump said. Ref. USAToday.
I think we all knew this was going to happen at some point. I have the feeling they're going to ask for the biggest amount of money ever known for a case like this. Sad thing its the tax payers that will foot the bill and not the actual officers involved.
