Shape up for soldiering

The Defence Technology Association will conduct 3D body scans to calculate the body shape of hundreds of soldiers.

I bet this will make or cheap customized uniforms as the image then could be fed into a clothing design program, which in turn would spit out a CNC program fr the automatic sewing machines. If nothing else a pattern at least that is precise in all dimensions. The end clothing might be more comfortable as well.
