Flag Philippines

The flag of Philippines was adopted in September 16, 1997. Blue represents justice and zeal, red as bloodshed for independence, white for equality and the sign in the middle of it represents the Katipunan nationalist organization.

Philippines Flag History & Civil Business Politics

The Philippine flag made its first appearance in 1898. It has four colors.
Yellow as seen in the 3 stars and the sun. The 3 stars symbolizes the three large island groups: Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. While the sun with it's 8 rays represents the 8 provinces that first revolted against the Spanish colonizers. Blue color on top represents peace and justice. Red on the bottom represents patriotism, courage and valor. When the red is interchanged with the blue, this means that our country is at war. Soldiers who are in rebellion or coup usually have the red color on top.
As to its representation, it does represent the history of how we fought the Spaniards to gain our freedom.
