What Would You Do?

One of my good friends(a) likes this guy and they've been getting really close this past year well anyways...the guy that she likes said that he would go out with her if she were thinner to one of his friends that really good frineds with my friend(a) and he told her what he said. After she told me about it I was like shocked , I mean I know she is like 20lbs over-weight but the guy that she likes should like her regardless but she told me that it was a really good compliment to give her and she all "at least he still likes me"...now shes started drinking tons of water and skipping lunches...I know this may be kinda hard for u to understand bu t if u liked a guy alot and he said that to one of his frineds would u still like him?? I personally would dump his ass!! because if someone doesn't like me for Me and the way I look than he deserves to be kicked to the curb!!! anyone else agree ???

You're totally RIGHT! The guy is a loser and your friend is...you know : 'silly' to put it in a nice way ;D
If he really likes her he will go out with her despites of how she looks like! he's just making fun of her and wants her only for 'that'! (you know what I mean) : Is it possible for her be so silly to the point of putting her health to risk for a guy like that? : Hey xtra, it seems like the people you deal with have a huge problem with self-esteem why is that?

I have no idea why is that LDS, all i can say that some of my friends like people who are not good for them. They treat them like crap and aren't even really interested. But,  my friends won't give up on them, and it bothers me to see them hurt over some guy or girl who has absolutely no interest in them whatsoever.

It sounds like the typical identity crisis thing.  It's all learning experiences.


Sounds to me like this guy is not interested in who the girl is as much as he wants something from her.  She shouldn't try to lose weight to impress anyone but herself.

Oh my gosh!!! that guy sounded really cruel!!!
There is two ways to take what he said a positive way as in the girl could think " Oh well so i am nice on the inside he likes me but its just the fat he dosnt like"
Or "Gosh he dosnt want me for who i am if he just wants me for how i look then he dosnt really like me"

If the girl has been silly enough to go on a diet for this boy, well when she does loose the weight she should play hard to get and go up to him and say well you didnt accept me when i was fat, too late you dont get me now!!!! then she should go up to another guy and he will get really jelious, or tell u what even before she goes on a diet she can find a nice guy who will like her even though she isnt thin, and the mean guy will still get jelious that someone else got her.

Yeah that's messed up. I would of stopped talking to him asap. I don't see that as a compliment at all.
