Sunscreen Can Damage Freshwater Ecosystem

Common sunscreen ingredients prove dangerous for freshwater ecosystems. The results show that long-term exposure to ultraviolet (UV) filters -- including avobenzone, oxybenzone, and octocrylene -- is lethal for some organisms living in freshwater environments.
