Deed Name Removing

Several reasons. Among them would be if they were giving the property as a gift or selling it. When a property exchanges hands the original owner is removed from the deed. In a divorce settlement the spouse who is not getting the property would be removed from the deed. Also, if there are legal entanglements you may not want your name on the deed or you would be liable for anything related to the property. If you are on the deed and someone gets injured on the property and sues for damages you would be a part of the lawsuit. I am sure there are innumerable reasons to remove your name from a deed.
