Symptoms include widespread pain, abnormal pain processing, sleep disturbance and fatigue. Its cause is unknown, but researchers believe genetics and stressors contribute to its development. Unfortunately fibromyalgia lacks proper treatment, but more than that proper education, among physicians even!
As a physician and a friend with fibromyalgia I'm speaking with some knowledge of the situation, so I'm hoping this is a good one (But alas I remaing skeptical, since there's a lot of research to be made on the condition first).
