Safety When Selling Online Through Facebook Or Other Social Media

As a rule of thumb when giving / selling items online I meet people in a public place and check their profile, date of registration, contacts, and so forth. I usually ignore anyone with whom I do not feel comfortable communicating especially if their answers are short, lacking decorum or vague. I encourage others to do the same, no one should make you feel obligated, force or coerce you into something you are selling or giving for free.
