Gallop Introduction

The forum sounds strict and I was a little scared at the beginning But oh well, I guess telling a bit about me wouldn't eat me up.

I prefer not to say anything about my status and identity, though, but, yeah, I still have something to say...

Well originally I was directed here by Google while searching for some cool RPGs stuff. I read around a little bit, and ... say... I was quite impressed with the way things go on around here, or at least the way things seem to be going on around here.

Though that was the primary purpose, anything beyond the matter of mere RPGs that the site provides would also be cool to me. But I don't expect myself to be active right since the beginning, I guess... I would have to spend time watching around seeing if the way this forum is run actually fits me or not.

So... glad to meet everybody.

We have FOUR types of RPGs here, which one are you interested in:

1. Start Now Type: For those who want to start immediately then you need to go to: Ruler of Kings or Emperor of Asia or Future Terra or Jerusalem Conquest or Lazarus or Germany 1939 and register on those. The Boards that handle Discussion for these games is located within this Community. Use the Site Map if you are unsure how to find them.

2. Integrated RPGs: This is where the RPGs are part of the Community. Games like Matrix: Plugged, Cozyville and others considers what you do in the Community and thus it affects game play. To see a list of these check the RPG Listing page.

3. Writer's Paradise: For for those who prefer well thought out storylines where the players are more mature then keep reading below:
You need to make 30 Constructive Posts as a test to see how well you can participate in our Text Based Games, so get started now by selecting a Board and giving your input. After you make your 30 Posts return here to reply and request 'RPGer Status'.

4. Share Book RPG: This is the EASIEST type of text RPG to get involved in because it only takes you joining in a Thread with a current Book Scenario and giving your vote in which direction a character should move. To see current games go to the Member Wars Board.

I found the only way to know if you like something is to try it on so jump in both feet and see how you like swimming in our usually clear waters. I some times muddy them by wandering off topic but our manager her JB gets back on track quick.

Basically just ensure to use proper language and the spell checker while ensuring you are making a point in your post and you will do just fine.

If you can get your 30 posts in there is a new rpg soon to be starting and another warrior sure would be welcome. If you manage that a second rpg is ready as well where we are going to try and extract some revenge on a den of thieves. We need more warriors for that one.

Do enjoy your self here. Watch member wars section as well. I am going to start a new rpg book there as well.

Yeah I mean thanks for all the hearty welcome. That actually helps a lot when I feel lost and scared alone in this place.

@Zydir: sure I'm most into the most intriguing type. And yeah I like the way it is named. "Writer's paradise." I'm actually wandering around the net looking for a proper RPG section that can keep its own balance and order, and that can attract many good players. I've been through some interesting RPG sections on many sites, but they have mostly just started and are struggling. I enjoy that time, too, but really I've been seeking something like this would provide.

I have questions though. What can be considered a 'Constructive post' here? And where should I post those?

Follow the link and I think it will answer all you may wish to know on good postings. But in a nut shell answer the question asked in the thread topic try not to be rude or sarcastic and never write a message like you are in a chat room. Use the spell check always.

I will add my welcome to the forum here too. I know we are always looking for more people to join us in the RPG area. Get you feet wet and wade into many of the discussions. I am sure you will have no problems. DO not mind getting corrected. I know I was a more than a few times.
