Comments: When it is time to sleep my child, on the autism spectrum, becomes very hyper and starts jumping around. It is very hard to get him to sleep. How can I help him to understand it is not time for daylight activities but to sleep?
Danny, watch what happens before bed time. For instance, lots of exercise / exposure during the day, no sugary foods, adequate time to wind down the day in the evening so it is peaceful, lights dim and no noise near the time for bed, etc. See if this also helps:
Hello Danny how are you. From the video I just watched here is a couple of tips. You can create consistent bedtime routine. Or you can eat dinner a little early and feed them healthy snacks. Next make sure you turn off all computers and tell them in advance so they won't be surprised. Reading them a book is also an excellent idea.
