House approves Keystone pipeline; Senate to vote next week
The U.S. House easily passed a bill Friday approving construction of TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline. The Senate is set to take up Keystone legislation on Tuesday; if the measure passes, President Obama will have to decide whether to veto it. Ref. USAToday
The Senate blocked a measure Tuesday that would have authorized construction of the Keystone XL pipeline as Democrats chose their pro-environment base over an old friend -- embattled Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu.
