Comments: I am searching for the zip code for the West Indies, is there a zip code for the West Indies and the rest of the Caribbean?

There is no Zip Code for the West Indies. Each island within the West Indies may have their own Zip Code but even still it does not change the actual location of "West Indies". For instance there is the Trinidad and Tobago Zip Code which still has not been made public. I do not know for the other islands.

There should not be a zip code for all of the West Indies. There is no zip code for all of Europe or all of North America. Individual countries have zip codes not regions.

Its more, I believe zip codes are to target specific areas within a country rather than the country itself. That is why if you are sending a letter from one country to the next you can't just put a zip code without mentioning the country it is going to.

Zip codes work best when there are regulations in place for street names, areas and maps for all. The mapping for the islands is very poor in my opinion and it may be one the main reasons why zip codes have not made a greater impact in the Caribbean. Too many back streets and tracks leading to houses with who knows what address… what zip code will they have?

The region is the "Caribbean" or "West Indies" there isn't a zip code for it. Zip codes are for more specific areas. The West Indies covers a very large area with many countries.

I actually got a card from the local regional representative in conjunction with TTPost that had my full address along with zip code, so it looks like it is being officially put out there. The zip code itself is a six digit number.
