Robert Durst, the heir to a New York real-estate fortune and the subject of "The Jinx," An HBO documentary on unsolved killings, has been arrested in New Orleans on a warrant from Los Angeles County, The New York Times and NBC News reported. The details of the warrant were not reported. Durst went on trial for the 2001 murder of a Texas neighbor but was later acquitted. Questions have also been raised about Durst and the unsolved killing of friend Susan Berman in Los Angeles 15 years ago, and about his disappearance of his first wife, Kathleen Durst, in 1982. Ref. The multi-millionaire, who has long been a suspect in several murders, pleaded guilty in federal court to illegal possession of a revolver. Under the plea arrangement, Durst will be sentenced to 85 months in federal prison, setting up the probability that he will be transferred to California to face charges of murdering a female friend. Its a shame because he got to live out his life and she didn't and now at his age it does not matter. I wonder if all his confessions had to do with simply just not caring at all or senility.
