There is a new study that says Sharks behave in the same way that human serial killers operate with their victims: stalking, lurking in the background, waiting til they are alone, etc. Of course the difference is the Shark does this for food and not 'entertainment'.
Shark Attacks (Hover)
Well recently people have come to understand that sharks can attack nearly anywhere there is saltwater. It was previously thought they only attacked in warmer waters but that is simply not true.
I think you have to take in mind we are depleting their food source then thrusting our bodies into their habitat. Our swimming methods are awkward and many times could be misinterpreted as a struggling body.
It is no surprise to me that more people are being attacked. Soon they will get a taste for humans like their taste for fish. Not to be un feeling or mean but I don't think they will go hungry if they change their tastes to humans. We are a readily undepleted food source that is easily eaten.
