R. Kelly
CHICAGO - Singer R. Kelly is a step closer to trial after a judge refused Friday to dismiss charges in a three-year old case against him for allegedly engaging in videotaped sex acts with an underage girl. Kelly has pleaded not guilty to 14 counts of child pornography.

These kinds of cases seem to happen so often now that you really cannot know what is legit and what is not. However, those are very serious accusations and being a suspect in a child porn scandal is no walk in the park, this can hurt him really bad even if his part is made to look as though he was unaware or ignorant of her real age. Other than that he is quite a talented singer.
I want to see if he gets off of this one easy.

R. Kelly (Hover)
Everywhere I turn, I always hear something about this guy and child pornography. There have been too many instances where police or people have reported R.Kelly being involved with kids. I understand that at one time, he was secretly married to Ashanti (I think that is the girl's name; the one who died in a plane crash) and her parents frowned upon the relationship since she was too young to be married. He is always associated with either young teenaged girls or kids. If you ask me, where there is smoke, there's fire!

CHICAGO -R. Kelly was acquitted of all charges Friday after less than a day of deliberations in his child pornography trial, ending a six-year ordeal for the R&B superstar. Kelly dabbed his face with a handkerchief and hugged each of his four attorneys after the verdict - not guilty on all 14 counts - was read. The Grammy award-winning singer had faced 15 years in prison if convicted. Minutes later, surrounded by bodyguards, he left the courthouse without comment. Dozens of fans screamed and cheered as he climbed into a waiting SUV. |
