Mysterious Person at the Tavern
I had gotten up rather quickly this morning, to get dressed and my armor on, before heading from my room towards the main part of the tavern, ready to eat and buy another night. As I considered my plan, where I might work or if I might continue some more training, mattering how much gold I had on me and making sure I wouldn't be short for paying what I needed at the tavern. Letting out a bit of a yawn before giving a smile and wave to the other patrons who were already there. Either those who slept at the in like myself, or those needing a quick drink before starting the day. As I told myself someday I will have my own place and I won't need to keep staying at the tavern.
The stranger was a young man, perhaps in his late teens, with messy brown hair and amber eyes, and simple clothes that were somewhat to big for him, that may even be a uniform of sorts, plus a cloak. He had ink on his fingers as if he has spent quite a bit of time using a quill and inkpot, perhaps employed to do writing for whoever this mysterious source who wanted to give he an endowment. Being curious, I decided to hear him out and followed to sit at the oak table before I said to him, "You are so insistent, and I am intrigued, so how can I say no? Plus, it is here in the tavern so I see no harm us talking."
I didn't feel there was likely to be any trouble or anything ill towards that could happen here at the tavern, and up to this point I haven't really seen myself tricked or deceived while in the Town, helped perhaps because I never went looking for trouble or going to places I shouldn't. Focused as I was on my work and training, and this could turn out to be a nice change of pace to what I normally did most day at this point. Plus the couple of times not long ago entering the labyrinth. This were slow though, I hadn't been earning the coin I needed as quickly as I would like, not venturing out of Town yet.
Once we had sat down, I will give the stranger another look. I offered a smile, and asked, "Would you care for something to eat? I was just planning on ordering a feast so I have the energy I need for my day. We can converse as that is prepared. As I am curious." Again, he seemed a eager sort if otherwise behaved in a more professional manner. Myself, I was still admittedly waking up a bit, and know that a hearty meal will do me good in getting started. So I had time to sit and speak with the young man, see what it was he was going to give, from this unknown source.
The Beauty of Lady Fluke
With hair of gold locks and lovely lilac frocks.
There is your blue eyes which twinkle with cheer.
A passion that I have found really quite sincere.
With red lips that turn up into a smile most fair.
You always provide service beyond compare.
Why Am I Geoffrey?
I had a Mama who raised me well little one... And while she is no longer with me, I still remember well all she taught me. To be kind and helpful, listen to those in need, offer aid whenever I ca, and to stay true to what I believe. My Papa taught me a few things, including the importance of hard work and to not break a promise. Lastly, I had a teacher, a couple perhaps, who taught me other things. Including patience and not allow my temper to get the better of me.
