Regular Menu Bar

There is Discussion for the Upgraded Member Bar in the Upgraded Member Feedback Board, within this Thread Discussion will be about the Bar itself and the features it offers available to all.

You will notice that the Bar now contains a drop down menu with the button "<-Related". This menu will feature sites that are related to our network in some way. It is a dark color so it is not place above in importance over the main Menu Bar.

Suggestions, comments, and so forth are all welcomed.

The menu bar has taken some of the clutter off the page. It never seemed clutter until the menu bar, in which more is now available with a smaller space. I like it, its just taking a while to get used to it.

I suspected it would take getting used to for some, BUT there are still a few live links for those who want an instant click. For instance, to access https://www.InternationalDiscussions.com (the main portal), the Board index, the Hot Topics, Who is Online and the Site Map then all you have to do is utilize the live links on the bottom left of the dropdown menu bar. These are really the main links because they are the ones related to Discussion while all the others are really just extra.

I went through the Menu and made certain choices bold - mostly the ones that you would have found as regular links in most Skins.

Also updated was the related network links, and newly added was an 'Architect's Hand Picked Topic'.

I changed the Menu options some time ago and was interested in knowing how everyone likes the new system where a window opens, darkens everything, and gives you the choices?

At first I wasn't sure if I liked it. I was used to the drop down menu and knew where to find what I was looking for. But now I have got used to the new menu and it is okay. Actually it is easier to navigate than the drop down because you can see all the choices at a glance. I suppose in the beginning I was just a little resistent to change, but change is usually good.

Thanks for a candid review. That was one of the main reasons for the change... we had a whole bunch of menu items that were available, but seemingly not really used. With the new system people are able to get around more to see all the options and what they are about. Actually, at the moment it is incomplete, there is more to it, but I just have not had time to finish it.
