Usually 'protests' involves a number of people burning tires or stuff in the middle of a road, highway, etc. Sometimes they would also go to a big busy area and do their protests there to attract attention from the authorities as they seek for action for what they demand. It doesn't really escalate and it is calmly managed by the police at some cases.
So all this going on in sweet T&T now. Gangs making riots in different parts of the country to try and make problems for the police. Why? Because they saying the police killing their people but is that the real reason.
They want to blame the UNC for this too. Anything wrong in the country blame the opposition even though the opposition is NOT the one's in power! And if you notice. The areas where these things are happening are PNM strongholds.
I just saw the husband of the dead pregnant woman basically threatening the police commissioner. I know he was angry but you can't say that. Hopefully, what just happened to him will be looked over. I saw the footage of the pregnant woman and she was assaulting a lot of the police. They were trying to calm her down but she wasn't having it. I did not actually see when she was shot.
There goes all the physical distancing. Look for an upsurge in possible cases now. I hope things can resume to normal operation tomorrow. People need their work and to carry on their jobs and trade. We just trying to come out of a pandemic and this is what all you all want to do now?
People in the areas hardest hit by the lock down and other things are probably fed up of the lack of infrastructure among other things. The issues in east POS is largely a social one. Crime is rampant because of the people don't see another way to get by. Its not justified I am just saying that's how they think.
So many people are against the protests being called "Riots", why is that? Burning vehicles, breaking buildings, setting fires and marching on the streets. If that is not riots then what is a riot?
