CNN projects businessman David Perdue and Congressman Jack Kingston will be the top two finishers in the crowded Georgia Republican Senate primary and will meet in a July 22 runoff. No candidate topped the 50% threshold needed to avoid a runoff.

The winner of the runoff will face Democrat Michelle Nunn in November in a race to succeed retiring GOP Sen. Saxby Chambliss.

According to the results Brain Kemp, a republican won the polls 2.2% more than Stacey, which is 1,978,408 votes. Funny enough, Ted only got 0.9% of the votes, making it 37,235.

Georgia hand recount confirms President-elect Joe Biden won the state, according to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. A week-long hand recount of Georgia’s presidential election results has confirmed Biden won the state and its 16 electoral votes. The recount results, released Thursday night, found Biden won Georgia by 12,284 votes, a narrower margin than the 14,196-vote lead he held immediately following the election. Ref. USAToday.
