Airlines to fit extra-wide seats for fat passengers
The obesity crisis is currently a hot topic in the flight industry, with some airlines charging passengers by their weight and others adding larger seats.

Well, it depends on their reasoning. If he could not fit into a seat and the plane couldn't accommodate a change to allow that, I can understand. Also, if a passenger cannot fit into a seat without disturbing individuals in adjacent seats on either side of them, then charging for two seats might be reasonable, as long as the person has full use of two seats, including amenities for two (such as drinks, overhead storage etc.).
I've experienced this but its not about being fat but how considerate you will be towards others. For example if you know you're a bit bigger then try to lean to one side so you aren't taking up the other passenger's space. If you are morbidly obese then get two seats. There are those who don't care they just flaunt their size wherever they go and expect you to be comfortable with it and that's just not fair!
