Well duh that's why it is a spots car not a van. Sorry but I think this articles was truly brain numbing stating the obvious.

Sports car were never designed for a person driving cross country they were made for the adrenaline rush of cutting a 90 degree turn at 50. Few will do it some dream of it but those who dream still buy them.

The average person will not buy a true sports car but will settle for wannabes like mustang or these kids and their Honda civic and accords. Close but no cigar.

Disposable income is dropping and gas prices rising none questioned the drop in sales of SUV and Trucks. Sports cars drink just as much or more so just perhaps that is some of the forces in play. After all a supped up Toyota is fun to drive and I do not need a bank loan to fill it and it feels nice on the road. So that part yes technology might have pushed some into the lower end sporty family cars.

I guess I should think of selling that 67 'cuda then. I know that the sports car has been slowly dying out for a long time now. Some of the ponies still have what it takes but many are not equally to their earlier cousins back in the late 60's. I hope that someday some of the true sports cars come back besides just show cars now.
