September C Part Index Composite Stock

I really don't know why these stock posts don't get more hits? I have a basic understanding of the stock market and there is a wealth of information on these charts.

I think people get intimidated, or don't understand them. Just read a book like "the stock market for dummies". It really isn't as complicated as some people would like you to think.

You will be happy you did read a boring book or 2 about it.

They seem to be appreciated mostly by guests who want to check what the results were on a certain day. I was thinking of having as an incentive for learning to allow people to 'forecast' what the result will be the next day. If they did their Stock Watch research correctly then they might be able to get an exact figure for which there can be a reward. You are right though, valuable info, I especially like to watch GOOG (not shown in this Thread) Google since a lot of our revenue comes from them.

Maybe if you you added a tutorial about stocks and how they work. Maybe link to an educational program so people didn't just think it was for harvard grads.

A lot of people don't like to jump out there and predict about the future. But some definitely do. I am game on this one if you ever decide to do it. Although I consider myself more macro than micro.

May I ask that you undertake to create a new "Understanding Stocks 101" Thread and then I can mention it in the next Newsletter with all credit to you. However, I ask that instead of linking to other material to pull people away from the site that you create your own worded easy 1-2-3 step so the most ignorant in this area can become proficient.
