Not really. I have been known to be found in places of total darkness. I am found in many places, in fact I am so prolific that I have been nominated to be placed on a postage stamp. So far no luck, but a definite possibility for 2009 commemorative stamps. (USA). Think Styx.

Well, are you going to give more hints or what. To be honest with you, I have NO IDEA of what it is, I don't think KNToran or Krakyn have an idea either!

I'm not sure what else to give as a clue without giving it all away. Hmm...
I started out with military connections. The Styx connection should be a big clue, though that is in more recent times.

Let me recap a bit: I was first created in the 1930's by human hand. My exact origin is debatable due to multiple rumors of my beginnings. I am not human. I am not an illusion. I am ubiquitous, I seem to show up all over the world. I am one dimensional. Rumor has it that I actually originated in Britain under a different name, but during "the war" began turning up under my name.

Now I've probably said too much.
