I am drawing a big blank. Not something normally eaten by humans, born in a water source but leave shortly never to return I presume. Visible to the naked eye so you are more than some kind of organism. And your presence makes me want to drink more. I am boggled. There's not many things I like to find in my water that makes me want to drink it.
Alaskann I do not make you want to drink water. If you see me you know the water is fairly clean.
Also I am alive not an object like grain or a mineral that might be extracted from water I was born in the water.
I am very common to find and I am not very well liked by people.
Okay, I am going out on a limb here - my husband is telling me he thinks you might be a water skeeter. Of course the canal water I used to see them skating across was pretty gross and not something I would want to drink.
I know that mosquitoes need standing and not running water to thrive so I know it is not that.
I am thinking of a animal that would make me think the water is clean and safe to drink but not something that lives in the water. Talk about drawing a blank right now.
Water skeeter I am not. Nor am I the mosquito though you both are getting along the right line.
I might not make you want to drink the water but you see me you know it is not stagnant water. You might even desire to leave also I do not travel alone. You are very unlikely to see me in the urban setting. Winter time my eggs sleep in the water.
