I never said it was round just that it is about the size of a grape fruit. The check idea is the closest answer to me. If I told you how close it would be a dead giveaway. I am consumable if you want to eat me. It is not the wisest choice of food and you would get something better to eat by using me.

Here I thought I was giving something easy but it turns out your all thinking too hard it really is a very simple answer. Read the clues again and I bet you will get it. In fact I bet you all have some of this sitting not far from you if your not caring it right now.
