I keep thinking it is Captain Wilfrid Reid "Wop" May but I cannot find reference to him in WWII.

In WWII we was with the RAF and was the key in The British Commonwealth Air training. Wop was in charge of all wesern traing and was Comander of the NO2 schoold in edmonton.

He was also heavily involves with the USA in setting up the original Search and Rescue teams in Canada and was involved with the USA Smoke Jumpers. Teams that rescued downed air crew in the back country in the Russian fronts and such.

Which means yes the first professional parachutists.

Now we are all in trouble as I believe you have a doozy already prepared.
