At least 19 killed in Yemen in two separate attacks:
A car bomb has killed at least 11 killed and injured 17 in Rida city, 100 miles south east of the Yemeni capital, Al Arabiya correspondent reported Monday. Also, a suicide bomber killed at least eight Yemeni soldiers on Monday after troops backed by tanks attacked an al-Qaeda stronghold, al-Bayda province Ref. Source 8
Yemen clashes between Al Qaida, militiamen kill 14:
A ministry statement on Thursday says the fighting lasted for the past two days and left eight militants dead. It's part of a military offensive that local militiamen have joined to push Al Qaida out of the mountainous stronghold of Al Maraksha in Abyan province. Ref. Source 6
Bomb in Yemeni military vehicle kills two and injures six:
A remotely-detonated bomb planted in a military vehicle killed a soldier and a civilian and injured six other soldiers in the Hadramaut region of eastern Yemen on Saturday evening, a local security official said. Ref. Source 1
10 people killed as Yemen launches assault on al Qaeda:
A Yemeni military source said three soldiers, including the force commander, and at least seven militants were killed in the fighting at Ghail Bawazeer, north of the Hadramout provincial capital of al-Mukalla. Ref. Source 3
