Spiritual Excitement vs. Intellectual Excitement

We have similar Topics here, but I am starting a few of these from a different angle. Do you know how to clearly define truth if it is told to you?

Suppose something is said and it sounds good, do you immediately drop down and pray about it or do you do an Intellectual search first to make sure it corresponds to what you already know to be true?

Consider the following as an example:

Two people are told a story (it may be true or it may be false), but this story has life changing consequences.

Person A: Worthy of the Spirit, feels that the story is true.

Person B: Worthy of the Spirit, feels that the story is false.

If both person A and B are worthy of the truth and come up with different answers then what was the difference IF BOTH know how to recognize the promptings of the Spirit?

Comments: Maybe it is because the same story affects each person differently. So, it may be Yes for one, and No for the other. My Opinion.

Dear brother in Christ Jb just because both of them are worthy of the spirit doesn't mean both of them know how to recognize it how many times good and honorable folks worthy of the spirit confuse their own thoughts and desires with the true spirit of the lord?

One of them is messing up big time and think they have the spirit when they dont and they're being fooled by their own thoughts.
