Marian Hossa's first goal with the Detroit Red Wings, scored 23 seconds into overtime, gave the defending Stanley Cup champions a 5-4 comeback win over the New York Rangers on Saturday night. Mikael Samuelsson had a goal and two assists for Detroit, and Johan Franzen, Tomas Holmstrom and Jiri Hudler scored the other Red Wings goals.
