Troubling Times

Troubling Times

"You have a choice. You can wring your hands and be consumed with concern for the future or choose to use the counsel the Lord has given to live with peace and happiness in a world awash with evil. If you choose to concentrate on the dark side, this is what you will see. . . . Now the brighter side. Despite pockets of evil, the world overall is majestically beautiful, filled with many good and sincere people. God has provided a way to live in this world and not be contaminated by the degrading pressures evil agents spread throughout it. You can live a virtuous, productive, righteous life by following the plan of protection created by your Father in Heaven: His plan of happiness."
Ref. (Richard G. Scott, "How to Live Well amid Increasing Evil," Ensign, May 2004, 100)

The most troubling thing about troubling times are those who don't recognize that they are in troubling times.

Times Troubling

It has amazed me for some time that people in general are in denial. I am thankful for the guidance we have been given to Prepare so that we need not fear.

Times Troubling

I find it interesting the number of people who express fear and agitation over the conditions in the world. When 9/11 occurred people were afraid to let their children even go to school. I had the opposite reaction. I was given a sense of peace and calm. Yes the world is in upheaval. We are in troubling times but we have been told since the beginning of time that these days were coming. If we are prepared we shall not fear. I am certainly not as prepared as I should be but I find solace in the knowledge that all is according to plan. I find peace in the knowledge that while I cannot change the world I can change me and make choices to better prepare myself for what lies ahead.

Troubling Times

Name: Rob

Comments: Yes we are most certainly in the midst of troubled times. Whether or not these times appear to be troubled, I suppose is a relative perspective based on your age... maybe? Some of my friends at least 15 yrs. my junior don't seem to be as alarmed in their observations of world conditions in general as I am. Some of those 15 years my senior, seem to be of the attitude that we've been this way before and we'll get through it again. I'm 55. I don't know if it's my age or the fact I've spent so much time reading scriptures and following the news over the last 20 years that have caused me to feel we now stand on the edge of world change. I've been retired for 16 years now and have devoured enough information to fill the National Archive twice over. IMO there's not only trouble in River City, but it's about to explode in a world conflict like no other in History. It's much closer than most seem to realize or even believe it will ever happen. I feel very much alone with this feeling as none of my family, friends, or acquaintances feel or see what I see. I'm not frightened by what I see at all. It all serves to strengthen my testimony of the Lords closeness of his coming and the accuracy of prophecy. It's all unfolding in the manner the Lord said it would...just as in the days of Noah when people were given over to the every day affairs of life up to the very day the rains began to fall. Most astoundingly, this catatonic state of mind is just as prevalent among members. I'll give the members of this site credit for the desire to know more than the the average member, yet I'm baffled at just how many plain truths still seem to be a clouded mystery among you. They stare you in the face yet you collectively skirt their meaning. These comments aren't meant to be condescending, they are meant to get you to think outside the box. There is blind delusion rampant among the members that prevents you from fully comprehending exactly where we stand at this point in Prophetic History. What I mean by thinking outside the box is you must break the smoked glass of perception that you view the Gospel through. No one knows more than I, that this is the Lords Church. Yet I also know, that for many years, Satan has caused many precepts of men to be accepted as Doctrine...Doctrine that doesn't square with any or all of our scriptures. Satan has recently, within the past 12 years or so, introduced a false Doctrine of man that in essence creates the forum within the Church, that will one day soon, cause most members of the Church to not only follow a false Prophet, but a Prophet who will proclaim himself as God. Sound a little out there in left field? There are numerous warnings of this in the scriptures. The most profound and very easy to understand example of this is found in 2 Thessalonians ch.2 of the JST. This is one of those major in your face examples of plain Doctrine and warning to us that A great delusion will be sent our way as a result of our asking for it. Why?...Because you have been choosing man over God by adopting the false Doctrine of man that states a Prophet will never lead us astray. That now places him in Gods stead and you will be one of many lemmings who will follow him over a spiritual cliff. This is the sought after answer as to what will cause the Great division of the righteous & wicked among us just before the onset of catastrophic judgments that are to come upon the world. The Lords solution to this dilemma, once the events described in 2 Thessalonians ch 2 serve the purpose of weeding out the chaff , are described in section 85 of the D&C. Please prayerfully, carefully, and bravely read these two related chapters and connect the dots. Though many good Saints will never make this connection before these events soon occur, they will fair well as they know the voice of the Lord. Most will place their trust in the arm of flesh and and reap its rewards. I know the very specifics concerning this false Christ to come. His appearing before us will blow you convincingly away. Even the truly elect will be captivated by his return and great power of miracles demonstrated for the purpose of convincing us of his authenticity. In actuality you will be staring in the face of Satan himself who will have barrowed the body of a very familiar face. The One mighty & Strong of (D&C 85) will soon follow, and rid the Church of this False Christ who reaches out to steady the Ark of God by opposing him as a rival. But the true God has no rivals, and like the serpent cast before Moses by the priests of Pharoah, he will be consumed by Aarons serpent. Be glad for what is soon to come upon us. Soon, like minded and good hearted Saints, will have the opportunity to do what all the Saints from the time of Adam have looked forward too...The building of the Kingdom of God in preparation for his return. He alone is our Hope and Salvation. Don't accept a cheep imitation. God Bless you all to stand strong for truth in the face of temptation and trial.

Wow I agree with you Rob. People are practically worshiping some of these politicians already. Like international super stars. And they are completely evil. I wonder what people will do when they see the best deceiver of them all. I haven't read an archive of books and I don't think that it is necessary in order to see what is going on. My perception changes a little every day. I think that has a lot to do with the spirit and seeking the truth. That is why I am always right. Just kidding about the last sentence.

Be open minded about this everyone. It is highly possible and yes I do believe it exists. Technology has gone to a far reaching point. I think the government has gone way beyond what most of us can comprehend. It is called the blue beam project. Look it up. That is the "Blue beam project." You want to talk about evil all around us.

If you think I am wacked then that is alright. The world would be a boring place without conspiracy theorists.

Rather off topic, but...
Jenluvsmp3 is that your real picture? If so then you are real pirty, but that mp3 is going to give you brain cancer.

Rather off topic, but...
Quasar, I've accepted the advice to join this site. I guess my name is no longer Joe Public "The Plumber" Rob. My son suggested Jarhead as my new handle. I hope all of you forgive me for my lack of formating skills. I just can't seem to figure out how to begin a new paragraph on my computer. I'm an absolute dummy when it comes to them. This site has been my first time ever, communicating over the internet. The only video game I've ever played was Pong, and that was only once.

But to comment on your reply to my last remarks regarding troubled times, I wasn't speaking of politics or technology, though I understand your reference to the Blue Book Project. I've noticed several comments in various threads, tend to almost touch upon what I was speaking of, yet still the perception of viewing the Church through rose colored glasses still persist, even in your comments. Please read the references to 2 Thessalonians ch. 2 of the JST and pair it with D&C section 85 and look for a related connection. Having been a Combat Marine the better part of my life has taught me to cut through the dung when it comes to getting at the truth of anything. In my line of work, getting at that truth sometimes meant the difference between life or death, so you learn to remove the obstacle of viewing things through rose colored glasses. If not for your own well being, then certainly for the well being of those under your command.

If you fail at this, someone depending on you could die. The same principle applies to your spiritual well being. Constant critical intraspection of your spiritual roots and its support element, (the Church), is necessary to ensure something hasn't changed in either of those that might cause spiritual death if it goes unnoticed. I know something of enemy tactics. When executed properly, you rarely see it coming.
