Opening Realms?

Mostly just from personal experience and really trying not to do any of this I have noticed a few things that may be worth mentioning.

I got a book on how to draw geometrical symbols. It was just a drawing book of geometry. I drew all kinds of symbols from 3 demensional pyrimids to octagons with the 5 pointed star in the middle. And then another inside. And another and another until the final one was no bigger than a 1/4 inch. They were usually as perfect as I could get them. It was an obsession for a while and I guess it was a form of meditation. Some things started happening that I thought were strange. I would see different colors on the t.v sometimes. I was quiet about it, but I would ask if the other person saw that. I got strange looks so I just kept my mouth shut. I would also see slits in my area of view. Not directly but more or less around me. Perhaps some other strange things like abstract flashes of whatever.

That is when I decided to lay off the drawing for a while. And I have been even more fasinated with symbols after that and what they mean.

I have also read the BOM 1st few books over and over and over one time. I believe it was about 7 times all together. It had similar results maybe a few more things. I just keep it down to about 15 to 30 minutes a day now.

This is a deep doctrine forum so I figured this might be appropriate and wierd at the same time.

So do you believe it? What is it? Is this place some kind of program or something? Does anyone know what I am talking about, or should I just call up central state and have myself committed. Or is the real question, what kind of person draws symbols all the time? I was bored alright.

I believe you are talking almost like the movie "The Matrix," right?
I mean I know your serious, however I have also thought about this.
Is this world like a program, where we are tested, and then when we die we come into the real reality.
I actually asked this question to some of my friends, they said that that is dumb. And that that is not how Heavenly Father works.

Don't get me wrong, I don't actually believe it, but I did ask myself that question before, and to my friends. (laugh).
It "is" an interesting question, however in my deep gut I don't actually believe that that is how Heavenly Father operates. It almost seems like non-glorious in a way.

Yah, I guess like the matrix other than it is a physical world. This is the computer age and that is how we understand things. Isn't dna a program? When you put a certain seed in the ground isn't it going to produce a certain plant that it is programed for? Isn't the seed a program? Is the seed software and the ground hardware? The sun is the energy source. Wow give me a minute.... Give me a few.

That is pretty good.

I guess if you believe the spirit world is here you might be strange. People believed that Moses parted the Red sea, but some how won't believe anything else.

I think it is a stranger world than our primitive intellect can handle.

I think I heard one time that we could move mountains if we knew who we were.

In saying this, are you saying the world thinks your weird if you think the Spirit world is here? The way I think I am reading it, I think --actually I think you should just tell me what you meant!

I am fascinated by Symbology. I would love to have all day to just study symbols and patterns from the scriptures!

sorry I don't exactly know what you mean by that.

I was using the movie "The Matrix" as just an example; If it was it would obviously be more complicated.

It makes you think, if all this were a "program," then what is real life like?
When we are resurrected, do we no longer die because that part or our DNA or "program" is taken away? Or was it just added for this stage of our development, and then it will be removed for the resurrection?

Sort of like Neo dodging bullets or stopping them when he finally understood who he was.

And another idea, when one receives the priesthood, does that in reality "unlock" or add a program that lets us act in the name of Heavenly Father? Like adding more software or an upgrade.

I was just referring back to Quasars original post and asking him what HE meant. Sorry for the confusion!

I once asked a member of the temple presidency if a certain thing in the temple was symbolic and what it meant. He asked in return what I thought it meant, so I told him and he nodded. I waited a second and looked at him (kind of confused) and he said, Thats right! I knew we were not on the same page--and so did he. He then put his arm around me and said something like, Symbolism is meant to teach us by remembering something when we see it, if *that* (what I was talking about) means that to you and helps you remember, then that is symbolism TO YOU!

So I have since then realized that we can apply teachings to anything, even software upgrades! !
