I think this is right on the money. We must be Guardians of the plant much like the Shepard to his flock. We have failed to do so in the name of greed. Later in the article he states as a world society we must learn to react so as to be protectors but the current mental state of the population is such that we can not. Clearly the over all picture painted in the article is very clear and the facts concise.
Now we need a break though to reprogram habitual behaviors and to curb greed. Not an easy road but one that must be found soon.
