"That is last years business."
Yes, but you are the President that will SIGN it THIS YEAR. OH, and let's not forget your campaign promise against earmarks. This one has thousands in it...literally thousands.

Newt Gingrich "Now I listened carefully to the president's speech the other night"¦but what I was truly struck by was that if his attorney general thinks we are a nation of cowards, his administration thinks we are just plain dumb. To suggest to us that he is opposed to earmarks when the very next day the Democrats are going to bring up a bill with 8,000 earmarks in it"¦ I was startled that he was saying to us he was opposed to earmarks [but not those 8,000 earmarks]. So I said to myself I wonder how dumb they think we are that we wouldn't notice 8,000 earmarks?" |

St. Louis riverfront draws rally against Obama stimulus plan By Tim O'Neil ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH 02/28/2009 ST. LOUIS - Critics of President Barack Obama's stimulus plan gathered beneath the Arch Friday to cheer speeches over a bullhorn and toss tea into the Mississippi River. A few conservative activists organized and promoted the rally, with help from talk-radio hosts. Pleased with the turnout in 35-degree bluster, leaders said they had stolen a page from liberal tradition by taking to the streets with homemade signs. "If I had known this many people would show up, I'd have charged admission," said Bill Hennessy of Ballwin, the lead organizer. "We'll do this every chance we get until Congress repeals the pork - or we retire them from public life." Hennessy estimated that more than 1,000 people showed up. There was no official count, but the crowd spilled across roughly one-fourth of the grand staircase from the Arch to Leonor K. Sullivan Boulevard. Former state Sen. John Loudon, R-Chesterfield, said, "We conservatives are usually pretty pathetic at making crowds. But this one's good." Hennessy said he got the idea after Rick Santelli, a CNBC market commentator in Chicago, last week called for a tea party to protest Obama's anti-recession plan. Santelli's comments became a YouTube hit, and similar "tea parties" were planned in other cities. The original took place on Dec. 16, 1773, when American patriots dumped imported tea from merchant ships into Boston harbor to protest British colonial taxes. Dana Loesch, a radio host on 97.1 FM, had talked up Friday's rally and served as emcee. Signs waved around her included, "Pork, the new 'Red' meat," and "King Barack III and the House of Lards." Jackie Smith, former tight end for the old St. Louis football Cardinals, said, "We are mad as hell and we need to stay mad as hell. Don't let up." Megan Dunham of Maplewood brought her four daughters with some painted signs "because it's important that the kids take part." She said it was her first protest. "All I'd ever done before is yell at the TV. This is exciting." |

Before we bring "HOPE" to the citizens of the US, we need to bring hope to pigs and fecal matter! Start low then aim high! For too long, pigs have been saddled with foul body odor and they need help. There are no rich pigs..wait...I am wrong...I mean there are no rich pig farm animals and they have been disenfranchised for far too long. Pooo...well of course we want poo that smells good. Farmers should fertilize their land and it smells like petunias...dont you think? Washington certainly is looking different with all this "fertilizer" that they are spreading on the lawn around the Capital Building and White House.

I think if most US Citizens went through the list they would choke, especially the ones losing their home because they cannot come up with $20,000 or whatever that is a micro dot in these budgets. Of all this though I think the MOST ridiculous is that the US is borrowing money to pay for people's abortions outside of the US (that is in a specific Thread really).

Interesting and amazing and sickening that our politicians have become so corrupt and so willing to admit it. From the AARP bulletin:

Obama is hardly the first president to promise to make Congress change its pork-barreling ways, and he certainly won't be the last. But he is the first to retreat so quickly, after only six weeks in the White House. "I just went through a campaign . . . where both candidates promised change in Washington, promised change from the wasteful, disgraceful, corrupting practice of earmarked, pork-barrel spending," McCain said. "So what we doing here? Not only business as usual, [but] an outrageous insult to the American people." Only a week ago, Obama was pressing Democratic leaders in Congress to pare back the earmarks at a private White House meeting. The president, however, hit a brick wall with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, of California, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, of Nevada, and other Democrats who treasure their right to send taxpayer money to their states and districts for park improvements, university research grants, equipment for police departments and redevelopment projects. "I'm here to tell everyone that we have an obligation as members of Congress to help direct spending to our states," Reid told reporters last week. That's the kind of treatment President George W. Bush got from his allies in Congress after he took office eight years ago. Like Obama, he wanted to curb lawmakers' appetite for pet projects, but he also was firmly rebuffed. |

What bothers me the most is they gave Iowa State University over $3 million a few years ago to figure out why pigs smell so much. Now I see it is in the latest pork spending budget again. I think if they do this every few years maybe they will start to understand that it is the same reason Washington DC smells.
The pig you see walks around in its own waste and mud mixing it nicely. They then roll around and play in this mixture. Now if you go to washington you will find the members of congress doing the same thing. Now I understand why they call it pork barrel spending. The members of congress are no better then the common pig. Both walk around in waste and seem to enjoy it.
President Barack Obama Deceives Media, Public on Opposition to Human Cloning
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- While most media reports were focused on President Barack Obama's decision to roll back protections limiting taxpayer funding of embryonic stem cell research, little attention was paid to Obama's ingenuous method of supposedly opposing human cloning. During his speech in the East Room of the White House, Obama told supporters and the media that human cloning is "dangerous, profoundly wrong." Obama said he would never open the door to using human cloning for reproductive purposes. However, he said nothing of using human cloning in scientific research -- which is already taking place in some parts of the country. A Drudge Report headline on Monday appeared to be the only recognition of Obama's remarks. "Obama: No Clones!" it screamed, but the headline painted only half the story. Jack Smith, who writes the Missouri-based Catholic Key blog, understands the deception when it comes to cloning. He saw it firsthand when Missouri officials supported Amendment 2, which allowed so-called therapeutic cloning and how supporters of the measure denied that cloning would occur. He says President Barack Obama is engaging in the same kind of deception with the American public -- in contrast with President Bush, who called for a complete ban on human cloning. Ref. Source 5
I "HAVE" a suggestion for his next move. Please inform HILLARY that we have no money left. It is gone. There is no more left. We spent it all and then some. Our charge card is rejected....

Basically, China is funding all this spending on her worldwide shopping spree. First it was the 900 million USD gift to help rebuild Gaza. Now we are going to toss another 1 million USD for Palestinian Education? Keep spending! I just know you can hit that Billion mark if you try hard enough! Please, someone explain to me how 1 million of the 900 million we dont have couldnt go to this enterprise?
The worst thing that could happen now would be for the printing machines to breakdown from overuse or we run out of fabric to print on.
