WOW...I just read a nice article about our "new" Czar of Information and Regulatory Affairs. The title probably doesnt scare you, but it might after you read a little about the Czar that will run it and the unconstituational powers he will weild...

Source 1

The blogosphere and boards like this could be up for monitoring and us all held legally about our posts...even opinions. This could actually be quite an assult on the constitution. Maybe this is the "change" that people were voting for?

Whispers about gagging the Internet have been circulating for years, probably in the very way that this potential "Czar" complains about.

I didn't vote for this, and I wonder when the people who did will wake up and realize there is no more hope? The changes being brought about will kill it soon enough.

This is the way freedom is threatened -- one little bit at a time, quietly, no real media attention, while people are busy playing video games and watching the latest entertainment on TV, worrying about their paychecks and their mortgages.... It's despicable.

Pres. Barack Obama's Next Move History & Civil Business Politics

One of the latest moves of Obama and Immigration is that he will now allow battered women to seek asylum in the US:

QUOTE
At a moment when liberals are getting on President Barack Obama's back for his disappointing reaction to the gay marriage debate (not to mention what they see as his failure to live up to promises made on the campaign trail about protecting the environment), his administration has taken some action that should be heartening for those hoping he will be progressive about protecting the rights of another embattled group: immigrants.

After more than a decade of legal wrangling over what the official stance should be on foreign women seeking US protection from domestic abuse, the White House has opened the way for battered females to receive asylum.

The administration recently submitted a cautiously worded legal brief - regarding the case of a Mexican woman identified only as LR - to an immigration appeals court saying that "It is possible" that LR "and other applicants who have experienced domestic violence could qualify for asylum."

Though the department of homeland security did not immediately recommend asylum for LR, its lawyers made it clear that battered women will be eligible for asylum if they can show that they are treated as little more than property by their abusers, if they live in places where domestic abuse is widely tolerated and if they are unable to find sufficient protection within their own countries.

As Daily Kos put it, this marks "an important, if small, step toward a sensible immigration policy". It's also a welcome change from the Bush administration's stubborn refusal to consider asylum for battered women. But, as Kiersten Stewart, public policy director for the Family Violence Prevention Fund, told me: "We [still] need regulatory or legislative reform to make this change permanent." Another unfortunate limitation to the new policy: It doesn't currently include protection for women fleeing genital mutilation....

Obama, More Polished Than the Last Puppet
By Cindy Sheehan

Okay, so the United States of America has had a new puppet regime for six months now. I was never so much into giving Obama a "chance" and I think it's way past time to call Obama and his supporters out, like we called Bush and his supporters out. Our Presidents are merely puppets for the Robber Class and Obama is no exception. Ref. Source 9

Obama TOLD us this was coming...

Glenn goes through audio clip after painful audio clip of 'The One' basically telling us what he had in store for us. Unfortunately, too many people got caught up in creating funny 'Obama' euphemisms while he was describing his plans to destroy America. Glenn wonders how the woman who giddily professed 'he'll pay my mortgage and put gas in my car' feels now. Because she's most likely still filling up her own car with her own gas money, and paying her own mortgage with her own money. Ref. Source 9

As Obama's Support Erodes, the Right is Resurgent

Escalating the "gouging of the public." That author certainly isn't biased, is he?

QUOTE
There is no smear that is beneath them, no inference or insult out of bounds. Lou Dobbs blesses the birthers while that Elmer Gantry of demagoguery, Glenn Beck, meditates on his mountain and pronounces Obama a racist. An Israeli settler refers to our President as "that Arab," and worse.

These are the nattering nabobs of negativity of our times, to resurrect an old canard once aimed at the left. The Yes We Can advocates seem to be taking refuge in the No We Won't center. The next thing you know, the removal of a democratically elected President that worked in Honduras might be attempted here at home.

It appears to me that this writer is horribly biased against the "right". Obama has proven that he is a racist, over and over. He has proven that he sides with the Arabs against our long-time ally, Israel. He bowed to the Saudi King.

"...the removal of a democratically elected President that worked in Honduras..."? Come on, just a little, tiny bit of evidence here. So far, there haven't even been any calls for his impeachment, such as the Left made for years concerning President Bush.

I'll start the call for President Obama to be impeached. He is clearly not working for the good of the nation, as he is destroying the economy, doing everything possible to put small business out of business, and is overtly working against the Constitution of the United States.

Impeach Obama!

Dont worry. The calls for impeachment will begin when he actually does put in a tax increase to the middle class. He is going to try to do anything to get out of it, but the fact is that he has 2 choices: raise taxes or cut spending. That idea of cutting spending doesnt seem to be going over so well in the Obama White House, since we have spent about 2 Trillion since he has gotten sworn in, so it looks like upping the taxes is the "course de jour". He has already earmarked a tax hike on the rich to pay off the health care overhaul, which in my guess will still not be enough. However, we still have this pesky deficit and debt that he has promissed to fix as well.

My guess is that middle income gets yet redefined again. In his campaign, those making under $250k per year will see no new taxes from his election in any form. I expect to see him try to explain to the folks or families making $250k to $100k that they are not middle income and they need to chip in more as well. The guise will be that they are getting more for their money with the health care, so they should pay more. That voting group is not stupid and will realize that their employers currently pay for their health insurance and it was pretty good and very cheap for them...but under the new government plan they will now experience a significant charge or in best case no change, but they will feel the new tax to go with it.

I have heard about his Waterloo and health care. Well, one other president promissed no new taxes and it cost him pretty good...at least it cost him a second term. I dont think that even the smooth delivery of Obama and his Magic Teleprompter can wiggle out of this one. New taxes for middle income will be the crossing of the Rubicon.

Once the call goes out to the newly crowned wealthy of the country...watch the backlash! President Fix It is just increasingly getting into hot water.
