Possible Barack Obama Supreme Court Nominee Harold Koh Backs Abortion
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- When the time comes for Barack Obama to make his first selection for the Supreme Court, Harold Hongju Koh, the dean of Yale Law School, is one of the people on his short list. A Koh nomination would be a severe blow to the pro-life movement as he would assuredly vote to uphold Roe v. Wade. During the campaign, so-called pro-life Catholic attorney Douglas Kmiec said Obama would want pro-abortion judges in the mold of Stephen Breyer and David Souter and mentioned Koh as a possible nominee. But Piero A. Tozzi, of the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute, points out in a recent edition of the group's Friday Fax publication that Koh is strongly pro-abortion. Tozzi worries that Koh, as a Supreme Court justice, would use a new standard beyond the so-called privacy basis to justify keeping Roe and its ruling that unlimited abortions should be legal throughout pregnancy for any reason. "A Koh nomination would revive debate over the importation of 'transnational' social norms on contentious issues like abortion," Tozzi writes. Tozzi notes that Koh's academic writings have redefined sovereignty as "a nation's capacity to participate in international affairs," and have blurred any distinctive national identity.

I am excited and hopeful at the thought of finally having an intelligent President in the White House. Someone who can take the information he gets from his experts and advisors, and make his own intelligent, informed decisions without them having to explain to him what they are talking about.
This is man that I can envision meeting with leaders from around the world as President of these United States who have a genuine respect for him. Whose reputation precedes him in a good way.
This man was raised by people who gave up much so that he could have an education. And what did he do with that opportunity? He made the best of it by graduating near the top of his Harvard Law School class, being voted President of the Harvard Law Review, and choosing to help his community, working in the trenches.
Barack Obama is an extremely intelligent man who gets it. He has a deep understanding of all different levels of American life. Whether or not you agree with his view on freedom of choice, or any of his other policies, having someone who holds himself and everyone around him to a very high standard of commitment, and who is smart enough to talk intelligently to anyone should give us all hope for the future of our country. I believe he is the right man at the right time to lead this country forward.

Barack Obama May Reverse Successful Abstinence-Based Anti-AIDS Policy
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A health advisor for Barack Obama says the incoming president will overturn a successful anti-AIDS policy President Bush has employed in Africa that has been based on abstinence education. The policy has significantly reduced AIDS rates and local leaders of nations such as Uganda have applauded it. President Bush's $15 billion AIDS program focuses on teaching abstinence and fidelity in marriage and nearly 25 percent of the funding for groups involved goes to groups that promote abstinence. However, abstinence education is anathema to the goals of abortion activists like Obama and his supporters such as Planned Parenthood. Susan Wood, the co-chair of Obama's women's health advisory committee, says he will likely revise the AIDS program to axe the abstinence funding and promotion in favor of promoting and funding contraception. "We have been going in the wrong direction and we need to turn it around and be promoting prevention and family-planning services and strengthening public health," she said. But Bush's focus on abstinence has paid dividends where it has been used extensively, such as in Uganda, where the rates of AIDS have gone down by half during the last decade.

I hope they reverse their thoughts as abstinence is the only true safe sex until one is ready to commit to their spouse. Sorry it is true. Also reduces clavicle and prostrate cancers.
Besides do your desire a spouse that slept with the leading town hoe? VD is not our friend.

This is basically what Clinton did after he took the job from Bush I. It is the same that Reagan did after he took the job from Carter. This is not CHANGE...it is the status quo for a party change of the Whitehouse.
Gotta take care of the abortionist first, so their will be a few executive orders to reverse previous order about abortion, stem cell reasearch, etc...
