Obama UN Speech on Mideast Talks "Filled with Empty Words"-Palestinian Attorney Diana Buttu
President Obama makes the Israel-Palestine conflict the centerpiece of his address to the UN General Assembly. Urging the international community to support his plan for peace, the President called on Palestinians to move ahead with "genuine reconciliation" with Israel and said Israel should extend it's "settlement moratorium." We speak with attorney Diana Buttu, a former adviser to Palestinian negotiators. Ref. Source 2
Obama drops his seal
Was it a sign from God? President Obama was giving a speech and right smack in the middle of it the presidential seal fell right off the podium. Even though he was likely giving his speech using the 'idiot board' teleprompter, he played it off fairly smoothly. Glenn talks about this and all the other bizarre 'coincidences' recently (like the flies landing on his face). Ref. Source 2
I think most of it has to do with promises made during the campaign. Some were promised jobs in the cabinet right away, while others - like Emmanuel - aspire to other public offices. He's now running for Mayor of Chicago, and his time as Chief of Staff has given him the publicity he needs to be a household name. I also think that there were too many people that promises were made to and they couldn't all be appointed to the president's team at once. So maybe they are taking their turn now. This is all in my opinion, of course.

Rough rally for Obama
After nearly 2 years in office and having complete ownership of the economy, the President is still not ashamed or embarrassed to blame President Bush for every problem America faces today. This is a guy who said he'd stop the oceans from rising - but he can't get unemployment below 9.5 percent At a campaign rally in Philly, someone expressed their disappointment by tossing something at the Prez. Obama continues attack on Chamber of Commerce
Despite having zero evidence whatsoever, the Obama administration is going after the Chamber of Commerce claiming they are using foreign funds to influence elections in America. Even Bob Schieffer could see straight through this one, and called David Axelrod out on it. Glenn was so outraged by this audacious attack he decided to act - what'd he do? Read about it on The Blaze, and check out Glenn's interview from radio with Bruce Josten - executive vice president for Government Affairs. Ref. Source 8
I think, in general, it is a grab bag of reasons and you probably have to look at each case to make a determination. Emanuel wasnt really in Obama's inner circle and his way of doing things is a bit heavy handed...good for a campaign but maybe not great after getting the job. Additionally, I don't think Emanuel really is enjoying his stay in DC and covets that Mayor position in Chicago.
Others of them are politely being fired or resigned. Some are actually bailing ship as they see Obama's ratings already to the level they were for GWB during his 2nd term. Some have actually had significant differences with the direction of the adminstration and have politely bowed out.
Obama had to pay off or reward those that helped him get into the office but arent really part of his crew and I agree with Farseer that we might be seeing some of round 2 for payback as well. I personally have a feeling that Obama knows that he isnt going to be rewarded with a 2nd term and he is working on getting more of "his" type of revoluationaries into higher political office for a taste.
