Wow...that election was not a vote on his policies, but just a vote on the economy. Apparently, the economy and his agenda are totally separate and one does not influence the other...interesting. Perhaps he needs to start working on the economy in order to potentially have some impact on it and rightfully be judged against it.
Remember, it was but only a couple of dozen months ago that the economy was due to the failed policies of the Bush Administration. The US people want to see concrete plans on how to not only eliminate the deficit (that should rarely exist) but the debt as well and not just talk about it being the right thing to do. This means government shrinks. This means that government expanding plans such as health care get a second viewing. What it doesnt mean is a VAT Tax, death/estate tax or figuring out a way to loot our 401k's or IRA's. Do this and you will see another 4 years...if not...the Tea Party would like your job.

I truly enjoyed the fact that he is telling Congress to work together and work across party lines now that his Democratic party no longer has a super majority in the Senate and lost control over the house. I do not remember him telling the Democrats to try to work better when he was having all those closed door meetings. I think the Tea party sent a clear message out. I just wish more incumbents were ousted.
Details on Obama trip remain unclear
Robert Gibbs was his usual, unhelpful self as he tried to explain the details surrounding Obama's oddly timed trip to India and parts of Asia. The trip kicks off tomorrow, and while the exact cost will likely never be known, we clearly can't afford it. So why go? Glenn has more on radio today. Ref. Source 9
Ex-Clinton strategist: Obama needs event 'similar' to OKC to 'reconnect' with voters:
Former Hillary Clinton campaign adviser and current public relations executive Mark Penn suggested that President Obama needs a moment "similar" to the tragic terrorist attack on the Oklahoma City federal building, in order to "reconnect" with voters. Ref. Source 9
