As the world burns, Obama takes another vacation

The average American completely understands that when a President is on vacation, he's not really on vacation. Daily briefings, updates, etc all usually still take place. That said, with the economy in the dumps it's probably not the best idea to take vacation after vacation after vacation. Ref. Source 9

In his address to a joint session of Congress laying out his $400 billion economic plan, President Obama said that "every proposal I"ve laid out tonight is the kind that's been supported by Democrats and Republicans in the past. Every proposal I"ve laid out tonight will be paid for. And every proposal is designed to meet the urgent needs of our people and our communities."

But he also pointed out positions that have separated the White House from congressional Republicans, such as rolling back consumer protection measures, his health care reform plan and collective bargaining rights for union members.

Obama drew a line with hard-liners who have demanded only spending cuts, rejecting "this larger notion that the only thing we can do to restore prosperity is just dismantle government, refund everyone's money, let everyone write their own rules, and tell everyone they"re on their own." Ref. CNN

Which foreign leader did Obama call first?

We know that President Obama's foreign policy got off to somewhat of a rocky start when he dissed England by returning their gift (bust of Churchill) and then sending the Queen DVDs she couldn't even play. But do you know which foreign leader President Obama called first? Who was so high up on the priority list that they deserved the first phone call out from the President of the United States? You will be shocked -- or not. Kinda depends on how long you've been following the President closely. Ref. Source 7

AP correctly transcribes Obama; MSNBC cries racism

During a speech President Obama gave to the Black Caucus he spoke in such a way that none of the 'g' letters were pronounced. The AP reporter writing the report on the speech transcribed the words just as President Obama said them and MSNBC took exception to this calling out the AP for its obvious racism. Wait, does MSNBC have a problem with the way President Obama speaks? Ref. Source 7

Obama's Ronald Reagan speech

President Obama and the left are suddenly attempting to pretend that Ronald Reagan agrees with their extremist views on tax rates. This is an interesting strategy to take, apparently they are out of all other options and are tossing the 'let's make Obama look like Reagan' Hail Mary. That'll work. Ref. Source 2
