TV watershed time eludes parents
Fewer parents know what time adult programming starts on television than seven years ago and a Broadcasting Standards Authority (BSA) spokesman has not ruled out bringing back the Goodnight Kiwi to help inform them.

The things one can see on cable television nowadays is what we as kids would never have been able to see. The programs I see when I watch tv are enough to make me wonder what kind of path are we going down. TO see a live sex show or frontal nudity before 10 pm is really bad tv in my opinion.
This is the exact reason my family lives in the stone age of a tv antenna. I find at least the smut does not show up till after 8 for the most part and the worst we get are Blue movies, nudity but does not show extreme details and that is not till late late night and only once a week thank goodness.
I personally believe any show that depicts explicit sexual material and themes belong on pay channels so that the rest of the world does not have to ever chance their children accidentally stumbling on it, especially at 8 or 9 pm on a Friday night.
But public morality has dropped to a nice new low that allows it to happen and dictates that you are an old prude for not watching and approving of it.
American culture has made nudity taboo. Europeans see nudity as natural and so it's not used as much as porn and smut in their entertainment. It's a shame that America views sex as evil and violence as suitable for children. One possible reason for so many teen pregnancies in America is the fact that sex is so taboo that kids are never truly educated on it until it happens. And, like most things that are illegal, it is very alluring to teenagers. So, when you mix a lack of education with something that you're not supposed to do, and give it to a teenager you get overindulgence and eventually teen pregnancy (or drug overdose, or drag racing, or alcohol dependence, etc..).
Viewing nudity on tv does not educate any one. I admit it could be used to desensitize a person from the effect of seeing someone naked for the first time. But talking to them about the issue and being with them and showing them what is what in a educational setting is more helpful by far.
Staring at a lady with their breasts sticking out is done on tv to provoke lust more then it is part of the story. Show sexual acts on public tv is just plain wrong as you must be 18 to view this material. The later is only made for one intention lust it is not educational.
I was raised this way myself and have no issue going naked in front of any one but I just do not see the need nor have any real desire. I have no issue you are out swimming need to change well use a towel and do it who cares. But that is different then engaging in a sexual contact in front of you 5 year old girl.
The start of "Adult programming" is getting earlier and earlier in the day, not only that but we have DVR's like TIVO, that can record a show, and see it at any time we want to. If you don't want your kids to watch adult programming then loose your TV! I"ve seen PG movies that have women showering, not showing anything, but that's not the point since these movies are marketed toward kids, why is there any suggestive nude people in kid movies?!
