Caring

Consider the below quote, and give your thoughts on it:

"To care for anyone else enough to make their problems one's own, is ever the beginning of one's real ethical development"

Caring

This is very true and so seldom displayed in most homes. True love or caring for another is putting your own needs in second place and taking care of another needs first. I think it goes against every natural instinct we have been programmed for just for basic survival.

Parenthood and love of a spouse are the classic examples of this. We s quickly throw our lives to protect our loved ones. Then at the turn of the hand we would send a child from the room so we can have adult talk time. Getting the small needs of another I=before our own is the real sign of deep love.

I believe that the act of caring for another is one way of showing that person how much you care for them. For while you care for them your placing your needs behind you and are focused on making them comfortable and happy. This is something that many people can not do. It is hard to place someone before your own needs. Those who have done it can understand.
