DesertAndy Introduction

I'm Happy to have found this forum because many times I have questions about the church that just seem to get me the "deer in the headlight" look from members of my ward. I love the ward members dearly but most of the time their understanding of church doctrine is shallow and doesn't show me that they have studied the scriptures as much as I would hope that they would.
I'm a RM having served in the Japan Sapporo Mission, I married my lovely wife in the Salt Lake Temple, and my second son is filling out his mission papers and is getting his wisdom teeth checked as I write this. I have enjoyed many callings of the years, including ward clerk, membership clerk, elder's quorum 2nd counselor, elder's quorum teacher, Sunday school presidency callings.
I look forward to seeing your posts and learning more about the gospel from a slightly non-traditional format.

Thanks for posting your introduction message, this INTERNATIONAL Forum allows you to interact positively with many people on varying topics such as LDS Church news, Doctrine, the Book of Mormon, etc. However, do keep in mind that LDS Related Discussion is kept only in the LDS Related Boards as this is an International Community.

The next thing you should do now is update your profile. You can do this by clicking the link called, 'My Controls' in the top menu. You may wish to venture over to the LDS Deep Doctrine board or the News & RM Section and have a look around.

If you like LDS Based Games then you may also be interested in playing: Nephi RPG where you can 'Journey to the Promised Land' or Book of Mormon Battles and see if you really know a lot about the Book of Mormon.
