Normally I do not post here but I have to say that I am saddened at the lost of this young man. To have others encouraging him to "do it" and watch eagerly as he did do it live on cam. This shows how depraved our society is becoming when others take such joy in helping one commit suicide instead of trying to get them the help they clearly need. It is a sad world out there.

What has to be considered is this:

1. Who was telling him to do it - heartless teenagers or adults?
2. Why did no one call the authorities, was it done privately?
3. What would prompt someone to do that, what would they have to gain by it? The net is giving people the 'fame' they are looking for, and unfortunately sometimes what is shown is very negative.

1. We do not know but we do know this is not the first time he threatens to kill himself so I would say most people thought he was either kidding or was an attention seeker.

2. One user contacted the moderator of the site who tracked the kid and called the authorities. When the police arrived, the guy was already dead. Since the camera was still on, the users saw the police arriving, some were shocked and others simply "laughed", yes, laughed.

Horrible tragedy -- kid kills himself by OD'ing on drugs, while streaming it live on the internet. Others were egging him on to do it, and he posted his suicide note on a message board. Glenn has gone through just about every feeling this kid wrote about . . . he was overwhelmed by guilt . . . he didn't know about the gift of redemption available to all.
