Nature of Allah
As a Muslim, how would you describe the nature and being of Allah? If you are not Muslim you may also share what you do know of Allah.
I cannot claim that I have studied the Nature of Allah intensively, but what little I have come to learn indicates that he is very much a God of family and togetherness. He will not accept vice in any form or way and will immediately attack the enemies of Islam when given opportunity to do so. He is very jealous, visiting and bringing destruction on those who do not follow his commands (very similar to the God of the Old Testament Bible). Lastly, one must pay for every evil act done in this life with the good works being recompensed with rewards.
Here is a site that tells you the 99 names of Allah.
https://www.iberr.org/names/aladl.htm
He has many more names, but these are the ones known to us.
They each describe his nature.
I don't completely agree with JB, in that he does not immediately attack enemies of Islam. It's just that whoever does wrong, will be punished, and whoever does good, will be rewarded. And if one does wrong and repents, and doesn't do it again, he or she is forgiven. I don't see God as jealous at all..in what way do you mean this?
Also, I wanted to make it clear that Allah is just God in arabic. It's not like some cool name muslims made up to express a different god. We believe there is only one God. If you speak to Arab christians, they will say "Allah" often. Or if you read the Bible in Arabic, it will say Allah.
peace.

Message Edited! JB@Trinidad: It was very hard to follow what you were saying until I realized you were in fact quoting me and then answering. Please learn how to use the quote / offtopic tags. Thanks |

That would be because He IS the God of the Old Testament. |

In my opinion this is a poor way to phrase this, for one, Allah IS God/G-d. To claim a God is a misnomer to begin with, since He is the one and only. |

What are you talking about? To claim a God? Please explain as well as use references or the words "in my opinion"... |
