King Charles has some deep shoes to fill that his mother left behind. I am interested to see what kind of changes he has in store. I'm already hearing talk of countries pulling out of having the monarchy still acting as the key head over sovereign nations. Canada should be a republic by now!

King Charles III addresses Parliament for first time. King Charles III addressed lawmakers in Britain's Parliament for the first time as monarch, telling them “I cannot but help feel the weight of history which surrounds us.” Charles told members of the House of Commons and House of Lords that he would follow his late mother Queen Elizabeth II in upholding “the precious principles of constitutional governance” that underpin the U.K.’s political system. The first members of the public will have the chance to pay their respects to the late queen when the monarch’s coffin lies at rest at St. Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh. Charles will accompany the oak coffin on a solemn procession through the cobbled streets of the Scottish capital from the royal Palace of Holyroodhouse to the cathedral. Source 7r.
