KINGSTON, Jamaica (JIS): The level of poverty in Jamaica for 2007 was 9.9 per cent, a reduction of 4.4 percentage points over 2006.  This was disclosed by Senior Policy Analyst at the Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ), Christopher Smith, at the official launch of the Jamaica Survey of Living Conditions 2007.
