Sailboat Introduction

I am a young adult and I was born into a large family of active lds members. As my brothers and sisters got older they slowly began to fall away from the church. I'm still a hold out, but it is difficult at times because of my own personal views on gospel doctrine. My goals of joining are to enjoy much deeper discussion online than I can possibly get from church itself, as well as cement my future decisions on church membership. It is hard because some things about doctrine feel so true and right, while others distress me.

One of the most important things about myself is my love for animals--particularly dogs. Right now I am working on a career in training service dogs for individuals with disability. This is my love and my life. Not only do I get to work with these wonderful dogs, but I get to meet and help wonderful people. One of the reasons why I chose this career is to combat so much evil and ill will in the world. I am spending my days toward making the world better, and not worse in my own way.

Welcome to the forum. I hope that you find the answers you seek here. I know when it comes to faith in your church it can be hard at times. Search through the LDS area here and learn more and I hope that helps you.

I am glad to see that you have faith in this world. Keep up the good work with the dogs. I know some disabled vets who have benefited from having a working dog with them.
