Introduction Lisanne

Greetings RPGer

We have FOUR types of RPGs here, which one are you interested in:

1. Start Now Type: For those who want to start immediately then you need to go to: Ruler of Kings or Emperor of Asia or Future Terra or Jerusalem Conquest or Lazarus or Germany 1939 and register on those. The Boards that handle Discussion for these games is located within this Community. Use the Site Map if you are unsure how to find them.

2. Integrated RPGs: This is where the RPGs are part of the Community. Games like Matrix: Plugged, Cozyville and others considers what you do in the Community and thus it affects game play. To see a list of these check the RPG Listing page.

3. Writer's Paradise: For for those who prefer well thought out storylines where the players are more mature then keep reading below:
You need to make 30 Constructive Posts as a test to see how well you can participate in our Text Based Games, so get started now by selecting a Board and giving your input. After you make your 30 Posts return here to reply and request 'RPGer Status'.

4. Share Book RPG: This is the EASIEST type of text RPG to get involved in because it only takes you joining in a Thread with a current Book Scenario and giving your vote in which direction a character should move. To see current games go to the Member Wars Board.

Read --> Posting Policy | See All Boards | Site Map | FAQ | Text-RPG.com

NOTE: If you need help with any of the above choices please DO ASK detailed questions in your next Reply to this Thread. We are here to help you.

So... which RPG are you interested in?

Introduction Lisanne

There's not much to tell really or perhaps I just need more coffee--probably not! The role-playing has covered a spectrum of D&D to WoW and others in between. I've learned to appreciate the freedom and creativity of the text based games and happened on this site through a google search. I'm still finding my way around, but I've read some of the gaming threads and they look very interesting, very involved and very creative.

Other things ... I am currently reading Iain Banks, "The Wasp Factory," and also like Neil Gaiman, Tolkien, John Crowley, Terry Pratchett, Steven King, Philip Pullman, Octavia Butler, and urban fantasy authors like Patricia Briggs and Kim Harrison. There are others but I can't think of any more (a vote for more coffee). I read outside the science fiction/fantasy genre but it's my first love I'll admit.

So that's a little bit more. I'll try to visit some of the RPG sites and start participating.

You'll have fun just don't let any guys wearing hats try to bully your character into cooking for theirs.

Thanks for the advice Krusten! If anyone is willing or able to eat Mystery Meat, more power to them. Actually hats would be helpful here if only as a place to hide supper. biggrin.gif

I've not read Terry Goodkind before, but I'll have to based on your recommendation KNtoran. I've got a small stack going right now, but I'm always looking for new authors.

A quick question: Do posts here count toward the 30?

Yes all posts in your introduction thread counts towards your 30. The only place posts do not count are in the humor or jokes thread. Like post count rants or 21 questions.

Sometimes mystery meat is good.
