Is there a difference between Miss World, and Miss Universe, or are they just different originations?

Universe World Miss Difference

I moved this here because it is an off topic question. Miss World and Miss Universe are two separate competitions and organizations run independent of each other. Many believe Miss Universe is the first in importance, followed by Miss World and then what ever national / regional competition from your part of the world such as Miss USA.
