Describing Someone That Is Mean

If someone asks you to describe how you like another person and you the person in question is mean, how do you describe them? Does it matter if the person asking is related to the person in question or not?

I would come right out and tell someone that the person is a mean person or a not very nice person to know.

I have a feeling that a lot of people describe this way as many people will not come meet me. Maybe it is an air that I put out too. Hard to say.

I agree with KN here. The best way to do this is to come right out and say it. That doesn't mean you have to mean in the way you say it… but you should be truthful. Otherwise, it's lying, and that not good either.
